Collect

Almighty God, the protector of all who put their trust in you, without whom nothing is holy; increase and multiply upon us your mercy, so that with you as our ruler and guide, we may so pass through things temporal that we finally lose not the things eternal; grant this, heavenly Father, for our Lord Jesus Christ’s sake. Amen.

Week A

Section Content
From the Passage Heavenly Father, we praise You for Your wisdom and power, your insight and your love. Your thoughts are not our thoughts and your ways are not our ways.

Thank You for gifting us the Book of Job. Thank You for reminding us that You are not far away in our suffering, and that the vastness of Your divine will consistently outbounds our small imaginations.

Lord, we ask that You continue to use Your word to train us in true wisdom. Teach us to face the brokenness of this world with courage and love, and equip us to bring genuine comfort and hope to a world in darkness.

Guide us by Your Holy Spirit through the trials of this life, so that we better reflect your glory in your Son.

May we, alongside those You place in our lives, confidently declare with Job: “My ears had heard of You, but now my eyes have seen You.”

In the precious and powerful name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

Church Ministries EAL/D

Heavenly Father,
We thank you so much for our Everyday English Ministry and for the beautiful variety of cultures represented on a Wednesday morning. We are especially grateful for the new students who have joined our community this term, and we pray they have felt welcomed and loved.
Thank you for the final week of classes for this term. We lift up our wonderful teachers — Catherine, Chi-Wa, and Tom — and we thank you for Doris, Wendy, and Ying Ying who serve us so faithfully through morning tea. Thank you for their hearts to serve.
Above all, Lord, we pray that through this ministry, hearts will continue to be softened and lives transformed. We pray that many would come to know Christ as their Lord and Savior through the English classes.
In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Redevelopment: Staff will provide update.
