Almighty God, grant that we, who justly deserve to be punished for our sinful deeds, may in your mercy and kindness be pardoned and restored; through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.

| From the Passage | Heavenly Father, We confess that we so often live our lives in the rush of the “subway concourse.” We are distracted by the noise, hurried by our schedules, and blinded by our own expectations of who we think You should be. We admit that we have often brushed past Your glory, failing to hear the music of the Master playing right in our midst. Lord Jesus, We thank You for the Mount of Transfiguration. Thank You for pulling back the veil and showing us that You are not just a teacher, a prophet, or a good man—but the Radiant King of Glory. We thank You for the “Verification” You provided: - For the Transfigured Light that proves You are God from God. - For the Witness of Moses and Elijah, showing us that all of history points to You. - For the Father’s Voice, confirming Your beloved authority. - And for the Forerunner, who reminds us that Your path to the throne went through the Cross. - As we descend from the mountain of this message and return to the “commute” of our daily lives, give us ears to listen to Him. May His voice rise above the noise of our culture and our own anxieties. Teach us to enjoy the “music” of His grace and to live as people who have truly seen the King. In the name of Jesus, our Transfigured Lord, Amen. |

| Mission Partners | Hoi-Yan Shea in Japan Heavenly Father, we lift up Hoi-Yan to You as she serves with OMF in Japan. We thank You for her dedication and the seeds of the Gospel she has been sowing. We ask that You would: - Grant her spiritual endurance: In a culture that can often feel indifferent to the message of Christ, protect her heart from discouragement and fill her with Your joy. - Open doors for deep connection: Following her August update, we pray that the relationships she is building would move beyond surface-level interactions into meaningful spiritual conversations. - Provide rest and renewal: Give her physical and mental strength as she navigates the cultural and linguistic nuances of her daily work. - Soften the hearts of the Japanese people: We pray that the Holy Spirit would move in the lives of those she interacts with, drawing them toward the hope and peace found only in You. May she feel Your presence clearly and know that her labor is never in vain. Amen. |
