O God, the king of glory, you have exalted your only Son Jesus Christ with great triumph to your kingdom in heaven: leave us not desolate, but send your Holy Spirit to strengthen us, exalted us to where our Saviour Christ has gone before, who loves and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for evermore. Amen.

| From the Passage | Lord God, We come before You with Job, standing in the dust of a world that often feels chaotic and disproportionately cruel. We confess that we are often like Bildad—clinging to rigid, “safe” theologies because we are scared. Forgive us for using the Bible as a weapon to “fix” others rather than a place to meet You. Save us from being untrustworthy with the suffering of our neighbours. Deliver us from simplistic answers and the urge to explain away what we cannot understand. Help us to stop “straw-manning” the pain of others just to protect our own sense of order. For those among us whose pain is beyond words: We groan with them. Together, we pray with those crying out, “How long, O Lord?” We thank You that when we don’t know what to pray, Your Spirit intercedes for us with sighs too deep for language. We lean on Jesus—our great Mediator who knows the weight of unjustified suffering and who prays for us even now. Give us a “steel-man” faith. Not a fragile faith that ignores reality, but a grit-filled trust that can lament and remain honest. We would rather be crushed by the Truth of who You are than comforted by a lie. Thank You for being a God strong enough to handle our questions and gentle enough to hold our hearts. Amen. |

| Church Ministries | Evangelism Teams Gracious Lord, we thank You for granting us the opportunity to proclaim Your name to those who are lost and far from You. We ask that You continue to open our eyes to see the people You have placed before us, and grant us the courage and wisdom to fearlessly share the mystery of the Gospel. Lord, please prepare the hearts of those we reach out to. Remove every obstacle that hinders the Gospel and create within them a rich and healthy soil, so that they may receive the Good News of Jesus Christ. Strengthen and unite our team as we labour together for Your Kingdom. May the words we speak and the lives we lead reflect Your love and truth, drawing more people to return to You. Cantonese Congregation Heavenly Father, we thank You for faithfully leading our Cantonese congregation. Through these past months, in Your Word, fellowship, and service, we have experienced Your faithfulness and grace together. Please continue to build us up, so that we may not only gather to worship You, but become a community that truly knows You, loves one another, and follows Christ with one heart. We pray for the brothers and sisters in our Cantonese congregation. In the midst of busyness and pressure, help us to continue longing to draw near to You. When we face suffering, confusion, disappointment, and the things in life we do not understand, help us not merely to seek answers, but to know more deeply Your sovereignty, faithfulness, and mercy. Strengthen our faith, so that even in darkness we may still look to You, and in times of waiting still hold on to hope. Strengthen and unite all our ministry teams. Teach us not to serve in our own strength, but to rely on the Holy Spirit as we serve, build one another up, and walk together in love. May everything we do reflect the love and truth of Christ. May our church be a community that truly knows You and bears witness to You, so that people may see the presence and hope of Christ among us and be drawn to You. |
