Christmas services: (see above) Offertory collected on Christmas day will be set aside for the Sensory Park project at Hurstville Public School and for the work of Anglicare.
- Result of the Christmas markets:
We are excited to share the results of our 2024 Christmas Market, which was a wonderful success, thanks to God’s grace and your contributions.
The market achieved several of its key goals:
- Raising awareness of our church: Nearly 47% of attendees were visiting the market for the first time.
- Building community connections: Feedback showed that 68% of respondents appreciated the welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
- Encouraging invitations: 53% of visitors came through personal invitations, highlighting the role you all played in reaching out to friends, family, and neighbours.
We are also thrilled to report that the event raised over $4,000, with proceeds supporting Hurstville Public School’s Sensory Park Project and the important work of Anglicare. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed:
- To our stallholders, who brought warmth and energy to the event.
- To the logistics and support volunteers, who ensured everything ran smoothly.
- To those who invited friends and family, helping to make this a truly invitational event.
Your efforts made this a remarkable opportunity to connect with our community, celebrate Christmas together, and share the love of Jesus.
- NewGen Children’s Ministry is on break until February 2025. Please see flyer for more information for the summer break.
- All-Gen services: 24/12 (Mandarin), 25/12 (Christmas services), 29/12, 5/1, 26/1, 2/2
- Summer Holiday Program on 12/1 and 19/1 (9:30am, 11am and 4pm) needs adults willing to come along and spend time chatting to them about Jesus and hanging out with them doing summer activities. Please contact Rev Brian Tung, Pastor Bain Lam, Pastor Elvin Hong and Pastor Carol Chiu if you can help.

New safe ministry rep: At St George’s, we are deeply committed to providing a safe environment for all our members and guests. Safe ministry practices are not just a compliance requirement—they reflect our core belief that our God cares for the vulnerable. The role of Safe Ministry Representative plays a vital part in ensuring this commitment. We want to thank Pastor Sunny Yu for faithfully serving in this role in the past. As of 11 December 2024, we are pleased to announce that Mrs. Daisy Wu (Cantonese 9:30 congregation) has taken over this responsibility. Daisy is well-equipped for this role, being a trainer of the Safe Ministry Essentials course. We thank God for her willingness to serve and for her passion in ensuring our church remains a safe place for everyone. Let’s continue to pray for Daisy in her new role and give thanks for Sunny’s dedicated service.
